@Julien I didn't run any detailed benchmarks - that'd be a good idea :) In running simple spot tests, I found rfeedparser equivalent in speed to http://raa.ruby-lang.org/project/rss. I liked that library as well, but am currently using rfeedparser. If you run any detailed benchmarks or want to chat, just ping me via jeff@jeffjudge.com

What about detailed benchmarks?

Jeff, you said 3 times faster than simple-rss, what about the other libs?

Just started using rfeedparser last night, thanks for porting it. It's much faster then simple-rss, by my tests nearly 3x faster.

I really wanted to use this for a new project, but not getting it to install on my dev box (mac mini powerpc) was a major stumbling block.

expat & xmlparser (ruby bindings) installed fine, but when I tried to install the gem it barfed. To be fair, you did say that it had issues like this =)

Simple RSS installed out of the box and seems to work in maybe 90% of cases, so I guess that's what I'll use.

Cheers!
